Solid Wood
Solid wood flooring is one single piece of hardwood which is milled from a tree trunk - very durable, gives you the aesthetic option where it can be refinished as well as sanded by a specialist as many times as you require throughout it's lifestyle.
Although, in the likes of Laminate & Engineered wood flooring it doesn't have a core or a wear layer due to it being created with real hardwood therefore overtime you will start to see the floor change due to natural wood organically doing this.
